Special Education
In the Learning Lab, students are working on making progress toward their individual goals. Students attend Learning Lab for support in math and reading. For reading intervention, we offer a lot of support in phonics and phonemic awareness to help improve reading fluency. Teachers use strategies and lessons from Reading 360 integrated with the SPIRE Phonics Program. For more advanced reading support, students use the Read Naturally Program where fluency and comprehension is the focus.
In math, students receive support in number sense, math concepts and applications as well as computation. We use the Guided Math program as well as individual support from the i-ready Math program.
