Lori Hearl

My name is Lori Hearl and I am a fifth grade English language arts and social studies teacher at Alcoa Intermediate School. I began a second career in education in 2021 when I began working here at AIS as a SPED paraprofessional. I developed such a passion for working with students that I enrolled in grad school at Lincoln Memorial where I earned my Master's in Education as well as dual licensure in elementary education and special education. I spent two years teaching second grade at Sam Houston Elementary School before returning to the school and community that I love, AIS. 

 

My husband Sam and I have three active boys in Alcoa City Schools--Jonas, Simon, and Solomon. We live here in the community and are active in Alcoa sports so you will likely see us at Springbrook Park, the baseball field, soccer field, and gym. We love to travel to new places. We like to explore explore national and state parks through hiking, paddleboarding, and e-biking. We have a goal is to see all 30 MLB parks.
