About me:

Hello!  I am Leanne Overton, and I am celebrating my 12th year at Alcoa. I spent my first six years of teaching in Jefferson County at Dandridge Elementary School. Before teaching, my career was in childcare administration for 16 years. I went to UT Knoxville for my Bachelors of Arts in Human Learning and Behavior and a minor in psychology. Then went back to college to get my teaching licence at South College.

I grew up in the Fountain City area of Knoxville and have lived in East Tennessee all my life, and I now live in Townsend. Spending time with my family is my most favorite, Larry, my husband, Ashtyn, our daughter, Brad, our son-in-law, Elliot, their son, our precious grandson, and Tessa, our daughter. We all serve on the Townsend Area Volunteer Fire Department. I absolutely love to hike to waterfalls!  At this time, I’ve hiked to over 60 waterfalls in the world, and looking forward to exploring more!

I love serving and being a part of my community that I live in, but I love Alcoa as my own as well!  I look forward to our time together this year!
